School and Student Privacy

Last updated · By David Nelson

This page explains how RigReady CDL handles student data when a school uses a school edition with student logins and progress tracking.

The short version: we collect the minimum, we never sell it, your school controls the records, and we delete them when the contract ends.

Minimum data

  • Student name or a student ID chosen by the school
  • A school email or login
  • Practice progress and scores inside RigReady
  • Nothing else unless your school asks for it in writing

Your school controls student records

Student records belong to the school. We use them only to provide RigReady to your program. Your school decides who has access, can export records, and can ask us to correct or delete them at any time.

No selling, no ads

  • We never sell student data.
  • We never use student data for advertising.
  • We never share student data with other schools or companies, except service providers that help us run RigReady under the same rules.

Deletion at contract end

When a school edition contract ends, we delete the school's student records within 60 days, or return them first if the school asks.

Security

Student data is encrypted in transit and stored in access-controlled systems. Only staff who need it to support your school can see it. If we learn of a breach involving your students, we notify the school promptly.
