Accessibility
Last updated · By David Nelson
We want RigReady CDL to work for every driver. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we have done
- High contrast colors and large, readable text
- Every page has one clear heading and a logical heading order
- Keyboard access with a visible focus outline and a skip to content link
- Labels on every form field and button
- Images have text alternatives
- Pages work at 200 percent zoom and on small screens
- Pre-trip content is also available as plain text guides and a printable checklist
Known limits
- The 3D Backing Trainer needs sight and fine motion control. It cannot be fully used with a screen reader. The written backing guides cover the same steps in text.
- Tilt steering needs a device with a motion sensor. A touch wheel is available instead.
- Some truck photos include small details that are easier to see on a larger screen.
